VOCABULARY TRAINING FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO CHANGE THEIR DESTINY ONE WORD AT A TIME

Imagine sitting in a work meeting, or at the table during a dinner
party, or even being interviewed live on television.

Imagine sitting in a work meeting, or at the table during a dinner party, or even being interviewed live on television.

When it’s your turn to make a point, you start off smoothly with a crisp sentence. Not an “uhm” to be heard. Not a single word wasted. You make a few more points using strong, precise words.

Everybody listens attentively. Your meaning is crystal clear and there is no chance of misunderstanding you. You get on a roll and unlike most people, the more you talk, the smarter you sound.

WELL, THE TRUTH IS …

YOU HAVE A BETTER VOCABULARY THAN YOU THINK

YOU HAVE A BETTER VOCABULARY THAN YOU THINK

The most important part of improving your vocabulary is NOT using “paralogize” one day and “salubrious” the next.

It’s using words that are in your audience’s passive vocabulary.

If you have an above average intelligence, you likely already have an expansive passive vocabulary.

The problem is that these words don’t come to mind when you need them: while you are talking to the company director or when you are discussing current events with friends.

MODELING THE VOCABULARY
OF SUCCESSFUL CEO’S

When I first started my career as a CPA at KPMG, I made an acute observation:

Executives communicate with a higher-level vocabulary than other professionals. They use more descriptive, intelligent and eloquent words to articulate their ideas and lead.

So I dedicated myself to expanding my vocabulary. I bought books and courses – some helped, some didn’t. I studied 100’s of executives that had commanding vocabularies from the worlds of finance, accounting, marketing and technology.

OVER THE PAST 16 YEARS, I DEVELOPED A METHOD THAT HELPS PEOPLE FIND THE RIGHT WORD AT THE RIGHT TIME.

AS THE SAYING GOES:

“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.”
